After pouring the case with a soft-tissue
application, the bar spanning (6) abutments
was fabricated and tried in the patient's mouth.
The bar was intentionally determined passive
in its fit.
The set up has been completed .The Occlusal
line was determined and confirmed chair-side.
Vertical clearance is paramount on the
mandible to accommodate not only the
retention "clips" but the sub-acrylic
strengthener. Its purpose is to add arch
strength to the tremendous vertical forces that
will be applied during mastication. (pictured
lower left).
During processing - the five (removable)
yellow  clips are applied. Acrylic work allows
for clearance in the event of replacement of
the clips.
